Real bride Zoe in The Poppy by Dando London

In a whirl of sunflowers, countryside and gorgeousness, our beautiful Alice Rose bride Zoe got married to the lovely Ellie at The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall. Zoe had been engaged to Ellie for five years, but it was when she was backpacking around the world that she realised that she really missed Ellie and needed her in her life. After that, there was no turning back, and we are so excited to hear all about their next adventures!

“The ladies at Alice Rose are phenomenal. We first met the team at a wedding fair and we got on so well that I just had to make an appointment. I ended up trying on so many dresses and kept on apologising but Leah and Donna were both so reassuring and said it was what they were there for. They were so accommodating, setting up a webcam so that despite Covid restrictions, everyone could be involved, and made me feel so good. In fact, I remember saying to Donna, “You’ve made me feel so pretty,” and I really wish I could go and get another dress just so I can chill out with them both again!”

“The Poppy by Dando London accentuated my hourglass figure perfectly. My motto is if you’ve got it, flaunt it – I’m proud of what I’ve got and my dream dress flaunted my favourite parts fabulously! It’s a bit different and unique, and Donna knew I could pull it off! I knew it was THE ONE because I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and everybody who saw it said, “That’s Zoe!”.”

“I wasn’t really worried about my dress fitting in with my venue (although it totally did!); I just wanted the dress that I’d always dreamed of, and that’s what I got. Ellie and I didn’t want to know what each other’s dresses would look like, but when Ellie saw it she said she knew I’d go for something like it. Now I just want an excuse to wear it again!”

“My advice for future brides is don’t be afraid! I was worried about sitting down in my dress as it was so figure-hugging, but I was encouraged to try sitting down in the boutique and was totally reassured! My biggest tip though is if you ever want a pick me up, go to Alice Rose Bridal. Donna is so down to earth and makes you feel so special. It’s a feeling I’ll never forget.”
