When Rachel and Richard first met in 2018, Rachel confessed it was her lifelong ambition to own a golden retriever. Four years later, their very own golden retriever, Archie, was in attendance for the drinks reception at their wedding, and even did a confetti run! Richard proposed to Rachel on holiday in Devon – Rachel just thought they were going out for a meal but when they sat down to their window seat in the restaurant a plate arrived with the words, “Will you marry me?” written on it and Rachel wasn’t going to say no! These two are the ultimate couple goals, and we feel so privileged to be able to take a peek at their wonderful day, full of joy and elegance…

“Coming to Alice Rose was such a lovely experience. We saw the flowers at the entrance and I like pretty things so decided to book an appointment. It was the first place we went to and we knew we didn’t have to look any further! I loved how friendly you all were – you made me feel so relaxed from the very start. I knew I wanted a poofy big skirt (!) and when I tried on Catherine by Ellis Bridal I fell in love with her straight away. My hands were immediately in the pockets and I was swishing around in it like it was meant to be. Everyone agreed when the curtains were pulled back to reveal me in my dress – we knew it was the one!”

“The beading on Catherine is just gorgeous, and the satin makes her feel so luxurious. I love the long train, especially with the buttons that go all the way down the back. I’d thought I’d go for a long-sleeved dress, but the short-sleeves were just right. She was perfect!”
“Our venue was a modern barn, so my dress was perfect for the setting. I spend my whole day swishing and twirling and feeling amazing, and I was able to dance all night thanks to the bustle that the seamstress cleverly created.”

“My advice to future brides would be invest in some comfy shoes! My shoes were so comfy that I wore them all day and I’m so grateful! I was so nervous for the ceremony but I realised not to stress but just enjoy it! The day goes so quickly that it’s so important to savour the day with your friends and family.”
